A polyglot team for mobile products
Castex is an app development company based in the Latin Quarter of Paris. We build our own apps and apps for clients, and we work in whichever language each part of a product needs.
What we do
We take mobile products from an idea to the store and keep them running afterwards. That covers interface design, native Android and iOS development, cross-platform apps, the servers and databases behind them, and the testing and release work that nobody sees until it is missing.
Why so many languages
A modern app is rarely one program. The Android client is written in Kotlin, the iPhone version in Swift, the API perhaps in Go or PHP, the admin panel in TypeScript, and an image filter in C++. A team that reads all of them can follow a problem from the phone to the database without handing it over to someone else.
It also means our advice is not tied to a single stack. When Flutter suits a project better than native code, or a small PHP backend is enough instead of a cluster of services, we say so.

We learn by shipping. QrScanner and QrScanner Pro are Android apps we designed, built and published ourselves, and they are where we test the practices we bring to client projects.
